Champion your own creative time

Carving daily time out for your creativity is one of the hardest things to accomplish for a “creative” person. Sounds odd right? But if you stop and think about it, how many things interrupt your day: be it emails, facebook, meetings, lunch, phone calls, snow outside your window and so on, that get in the way of your creative time?

If you don’t prioritize and champion your day, you will undoubtedly leave feeling unfulfilled.

Down the rabbit hole

Recently, while doing a little rummaging on The Auteurs (a very fine resource for film buffs) it was brought to my attention that the story of Alice in Wonderland is over 140 years old. The original novel was written in 1865 by Lewis Carroll and the first-ever film version was created in 1903.

I knew that Carroll’s story had been adapted dozens of times, but I had no idea that the trippy little tale was imagined before recorded sound had even been introduced into the world of cinema.
