Fight the urge to click.

Has anyone ever put any thought to a world wide web where you never clicked your mouse? How could that be possible? We have pay per click and analytics that measure what page you’re on, and how else could you get to that page without clicking?
Turns out, it’s possible and the web site www.dontclick.it has figured it out. You won’t find any buttons within the interface, except to enter, and if you do accidentally click, you get blasted with a pretty alarming error screen. Although the site is very engaging, it’s pretty hard to adjust. Either way, the site gets you thinking about new ways to interact with users. Is this the way the web is going?

man, this is harder than trying to quit biting your fingernails. it’s like your click finger acts before your brain has any time to adjust. nice experiment in human behavior.

OMG! I’m free! And it was so easy, like Butta! Nice interface to learn how easy it would be. Can we build our next site like this? Matt what do you think about this?

i loved this – but i was using my laptop touch pad. I think it would have been harder to control my clicking finger if I was using a mouse.

the project is very informative, and the lesson being brought to life in context makes a seemingly unnatural thing, feel very intuitive.
i think a certain type of person would absolutely HATE this site. you know, like the people who need buttons on their blackberry’s, who just can’t handle the iPhone and it’s nonsensical touchscreen.
to each his own. i guess that’s really the greater point of the project, anyway.

I love it when the status quo gets challenged! They did an incredible job with the transitions and feel. Not sure how it would work with a touch screen though
Would love to see the poll results for sure.
