Just like the rest of us, I’m keeping up my social side with fans online. This week my fame on facebook made prime time. It all started when I became a facebook fan of the latest TDOT teen safety campaign called, Between the Barrels.
I commented on their page about the brilliance of the idea and the hopes of it saving lives. A Fox17 News journalist covering the campaign story liked what I had to say and showed my blog comment during the nightly news. You can see the coverage here. http://www.fox17.com
Ok, it was my 2 seconds of fame but the campaign concept is really cool cause they are enticing the audience to get involved and submit a video online to win a substantial prize. TDOT is asking teens to create their own TV spot about keeping them safe on Tennessee roads which they’ll later use in their advertising efforts.
It all goes to show how engaging social media can be and how anyone’s comments can show up in unexpected places. Headline news is a cool way to show up. Where do you show up? – Champ

Way to go Champ! That’s the best way to get your/our name out there – comment, comment, comment!
