Filmmaker Jeff Desom made this music video for Haushka’s Morgenrot, from his album Ferndorf. Desom found the images of early 20th century New York while scrounging through the collection of the U.S. Library of Congress.
The new experimental music of Hauskchka mixed with the old images makes for a surreal concoction that is both peaceful and haunting.
