Who is responsible for your inspiration?
by Tim McMullen
You are.
“Inspire me”
“I am just not inspired”
“I cannot come up with any ideas”
How many times do we try to blame others for our inspiration? We all do it.
You could get inspiration from a blade of grass if you wanted to. Really, try it.
It starts from nothing but a seed.
It must find a place to germinate and take root. Everyone is always pushing on him. Stepping on him. Cutting him down. Weeds try to move in on his space. But he does everything he can to grow – trying to be as green and tall as possible.
Inspiration is a symptom of growth – and ultimately, you are responsible for your own growth.
I say – “Grow baby grow!”
In case the blade of grass exercise did not work, try this: It is a video I just shot of a man jumping from a tower to set the world record for the highest belly flop – into 12 inches of water, by the way.
Shh…we had to stay quiet…until he landed.
